Jason Ichiyama
Born and raised in Honolulu, Jason Ichiyama always had a strong appreciation for music and the arts. In 2005, he was cast as a Supernumerary, an onstage non-singing role in Hawaii Opera Theatre's production of The Flying Dutchman. He continued to work with HOT both onstage and gaining experience backstage as an assistant stage manager. An opportunity to work with Manoa Valley Theatre as crew on The Play That Goes Wrong came up in 2023, and this opened a whole new avenue to explore theatre outside of opera. Since then he has been part of the backstage crew with MVT, learning new skills and taking on more responsibilities. Dear Evan Hansen marks his Stage Management debut with MVT and he is excited to continue to be a part of many future projects.

Aly Sutton
Aly recently moved home to Hawaii from Washington. For four years, from the age of 16, she served as Production Booth Manager for Bellevue Youth Theater in Bellevue, Washington, where she fell in love with the behind the scenes aspect of theater. Some of her favorite productions include The Last Unicorn, Guys and Dolls, and Elf the Musical Jr. She aspires to have a full-time career in Stage Management. Recently, she worked backstage on Be More Chill and The 39 Steps (MVT). Aly was thrilled to make her debut as Stage Manager for Cambodian Rock Band, and is happy to be reprising that role for Cabaret. She is looking forward to future productions and opportunities in theater.
Al Reyes
Al started stage managing in 2018 as ASM for Nora at UHM. Since then, Al has stage managed 13 different shows with LN@UHM, Leviathan Dance, KOA, TAG, HSF, and Corpus Productions. Directing-wise, Al took Alex Munro's directing class at UHM and has directed/assistant directed 4 plays/short works since 2019. Al started working with MVT as the 2nd replacement lightboard operator for Desperate Measures in 2022. After crewing again in the same position for The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Tick, Tick... Boom!, Al found work both on and off stage as Jill in The Play That Goes Wrong. Truths: I'm so very grateful to be here at MVT. Having been involved in arts from a very young age, I have found the theatre to be one of the most magical places you can be. Where else can you feel the entire scope of human emotion within 2 hours? For this performance, I hope that the three you see on stage make you laugh, gasp, cry, but most importantly: think. To all my teachers, mentors, friends, my wonderful partner, and my incredible mom-- this one's for you.
